Judith Rowe
Judith Rowe’s Earthenware Beach Clay Pots are made with clay from Pett Level and Winchelsea Beaches near Hastings in East Sussex close to where the artist lives. The clay used with these small bowls is black in a raw state before firing.
Some of these pots are wheel thrown, others are made by pressing rolled slabs of clay over pebbles found nearby on the same beaches.
